How To Overcome Fear Of Public SpeakingThere are so many people who have issues with speaking to an audience. They are simply just afraid of looking like a fool in front of people. They will overcome their fear by trying to be thoroughly prepared with a positive attitude. As for the reasons why people are afraid it can range from worried about the way that you look or the things that you will say, but it all comes from the fact that you may have low self-esteem. If you can work on the way that you feel, you'll be able to work on the way that you see yourself and you'll notice that your fear won't be so bad. However, there are some people who are so afraid of being judged that they will literally get sick. There are so many people who will get nauseous or sick. They may even faint from the pressure to perform. There are some people who will begin to stutter or speak too rapidly. Sometimes when they start talking and then there heart will begin to beat so fast that they may tremble. Although you may find yourself calming down after awhile, you may end up wasting half the speech trying to get over your fear. Why don't you just learn to overcome your fear, rather than get over it every time? You will want to make sure that you go into the speech well prepared. You are going to have to think about the way that you deliver the speech and how much time it takes you to deliver it. When you go into the room knowing that your speech is only 12 minutes and 34 seconds, the time will seem so much less than what it really is. You will also want to make sure that you are well educated on your topic. Make sure that you are prepared for every possible question and even for your fears. If you know that you tend to do something before a speech you will want to figure out what you can do to make your jitters go away. You will find that when you are prepared for anything, you'll feel a lot better. If you are afraid of looking foolish you have to think why you feel that. Do these people have power over you? If you make a mistake, who will care? If it doesn't hurt you or if it doesn't hurt your job, then why should you feel so afraid of making a mistake?
